When I first decided to start this blog, I had meant it to be an online platform for sharing about my experience as a lifestyle writer and blogger.
After all, Singapore being the city-state where everything is efficient and always running in tip-top condition… the thought of work-life balance and “lifestyle” is something most of us only dream about. Plus, the rising cost of living isn’t helping most of us either.
So I decided to set out on a journey, listening and sharing stories of different (and often times, unique) ways some Singaporeans are adopting to achieve their dream lifestyle.
You see, there is this misconception you have to be rich to live the life you want.
For a long time, I used to think that way as well. But after meeting many different people from different walks of life, I began to notice something common about those who are living the life they want… they are happier.
To some, they’re content with what they have. To others, they are glad they dared to take the risk and pursue what they’ve always dreamed about.
And there are those who are fortunate to succeed in their business. While others achieve their goals through various forms of investing.
Many different approaches. One same outcome.
That’s the reason why I revamped this blog’s purpose.
To share these stories. So that anyone who needs some motivation, a little push, some inspiration, or advice, can find the courage to go out and chase the life they’ve dreamed about.
The life you want!
And to be happier striving for it.

Alright, here’s a quick peek into my story. Some people know me as an internet marketer. But within this niche, I’ve a different website that focuses on what I do full-time. Copywriting. As a Singapore copywriter, I focus on writing sales materials for businesses.
In some way, this has given me more time and the resources to pursue other things in my life. It has also given me the freedom to learn new things. Experiment with new ideas. And go on trips around the world. Without having to apply for leave.
But while the perks look amazing. It wasn’t always that way.
I started out my career in the financial planning industry. Completely greenhorn back then. Without much skills or knowledge.
Because of that, I lacked the confidence to do many things. And I was constantly struggling to close sales. Money was also tighter then as I didn’t draw a stable income.
I wish I could say things transformed overnight, but reality is often different from the stories we read.
What I can say however is I was fortunate to meet some key people in my life. Who through their guidance and encouragement helped me to become more aware of the mistakes I was committing and how to correct them.
The truth is… there are plenty of things to learn in our lives. I’m constantly finding new things to learn every single day.
But what will separate us from chasing the things that give us meaning is the choice of baggage we choose to carry with us.
Our mindset about the events happening. Both good and bad.
An example that I like to share is about my own experience with the Forex market. For the longest time, I had closed my mind to it as I felt it is a high-risk and speculative instrument. I even swore never to dabble in the FX market and would rather only pursue business ventures instead.
If I had stood my self-imposed limiting beliefs, I would never have discovered a Forex Engine that averages a 14.53% ROI. Now, I’m not saying that you must make money from any venture to call it a success… but let’s face it… it does make things a little rosier.
But more importantly… it’s all about how we approach any new opportunity or challenge. Do we set limiting beliefs or do we allow ourselves growth.
To explore uncomfortable areas that pushes us to expand our reach and capabilities. Whether that’s going out to chase after a sale, having the confidence to stand on-stage in public. or focusing on the finer details at work.
It starts with opening our minds to the things others say and do around us. Weight them, listen to the pros and cons, then and only then make a decision. Too many people I know pass judgement without gathering all the information first.
Naturally, mindset adjustment does take time. It won’t happen overnight. And you can bet there will always still be good days and bad days. But once you’ve the right frame of mind, dealing with bad days become easier. While enjoying the good days is that much sweeter. And they will come more often as well.
So, I wish you the best in your personal endeavours and a thanks for checking this blog out.
